The vessel is a year 2000 24 ft Silverhawk Center Console. The name of the boat (High Slack Tide) came from a giant bluefin and a medium bluefin tuna that were hooked on back to back weekend trips in Cape Cod Bay at high slack tide. Both fish ate live bluefish during a slack period of water during the flood tide, i.e 'High Slack tide'
At 6500lbs and 20* of deadrise at transom, this boat provides a comfortable ride for up to 4 passengers plus captain. This is a fishing machine with many custom items added and a new complete drivetrain during a refit / complete boat refresher in 2020.
Powerplant is a Yanmar 4LHA turbo diesel mated to a Mercruiser Bravo III outdrive. This low hour combination offers a quiet wet exhaust and is able to cruise comfortably at 24kts while reaching the fishing destination.
The boat bleeds Furuno blue with (2) VX2 units and a GP 7000. The 600 watt transducer is able to light the fish up in brilliant colors while the 4KW radar helps navigating in dense fog or pre dawn/black conditions.
To round things off a pair of Icom vhf radios and EPIRB are safety/communication items that are in place if ever needed or to reach other boats/safety.
